Chase Burns threw six scoreless innings, JJ Bleday homered twice and drove in six runs, and the Cincinnati Reds avoided being swept by the Washington Nationals with a 15-1 victory Thursday afternoon at Great American Ball Park.
The Reds are an even 23-21 and 5 games back of the Cubs in the NL Central.
The Reds will now begin a 2 city, 6 game road trip this evening, with series in Cleveland and then Philadelphia.
Game times this weekend for the Reds and Guardians will be 7:10pm tonight, 6:40pm
Saturday night and 1:40pm Sunday afternoon.
