A Letcher County man is reportedly facing charges following a Tuesday incident that put Cowan Elementary School on lockdown for a while. Kentucky State Police say Casey Jordan and another man were having an argument that escalated to the use of brass knuckles and then shots fired around 10:30 am at a work site on Lonzo Road off Bartesta Branch which is about a mile from the school. The Mountain Eagle reports Jordan had run off by the time police arrived but they found him at his home and arrested him. Jordan is charged with second-degree assault
