Laura Juanita Banks, age 91, of Whitesburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
She is survived by 2 sisters: Wilma Shortt and Joyce Short, one daughter: Carolyn Gleason, one son: Paul Banks; grandson: Ian Gleason, granddaughter: Hayleigh Banks-Britton and great-granddaughter Juniper.
Visitation for Laura Juanita Banks will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:00am at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg, with funeral services immediately following at 11:00am.
Burial will follow at Banks Peaceful Hill Cemetery at Ice.

Jordan Coots
Jordan Coots, age 88, of Hiram, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Whitesburg ARH.
He is survived by 4 children: Kim Goins of Cumberland, Willard Coots of Lexington, Sean Coots of Evarts, and George Coots of Tazewell, TN; one brother, Boyd Coots, of Cumberland; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three special bonus daughters, Dr. April French, Jennifer Coots Mitler and Destiny Sage and a special bonus grandson: Dustin Jones.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm this evening, Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Tri City Funeral Home at Benham.
Funeral services for Jordan Coots will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 11, at 1:00pm at the Tri City Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens.
