McROBERTS, Ky. (WXKQ) – A Letcher County man has been arrested following a shooting Monday afternoon in McRoberts.
Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a shooting on Sheas Fork and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was taken to Whitesburg ARH Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.
Investigators identified 65-year-old Hibert Tackett, of McRoberts, as the suspect.
He was later taken into custody without incident and charged with first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
