Several charges are filed against a West Virginia man in connection with a weekend fatal crash in Pikeville.
Pikeville Police allege Chad Blackburn of Red Jacket was driving under the influence Friday night on U.S. 119 when he slammed into another car, killing the driver and seriously injuring the passenger.
Documents show the arresting officer alleges Blackburn admitted to smoking a marijuana THC vape pen but a search of his car turned up suspected heroin as well as pot.
Blackburn is charged with vehicular homicide when under the influence and is being held without bond in the Pike County Detention Center.
Police have not yet released the names of the car crash victims.
