Hazard Community and Technical College’s University Center of the Mountains has a new leader.
Tammy Duff has been named as director of the school that provides increased access to bachelor’s and master’s degree programs closer to home for those in the Kentucky River Area Development District which includes Letcher, Perry, Knott, Leslie and a few other counties.
The Hazard Herald reports Duff has a 34-year history with the school.
She started working at what was then Hazard Community College in 1990 as the performing arts director and since then has been an admissions advisor and recruiter and since 2021 the co-director and acting director.
