There’s a bill moving through the state legislature that would create a suicide prevention program for Kentucky service members and veterans. House Bill 30 calls for programs to help create resources for service members and also raise awareness of the issue. Officials say Kentucky military suicides happen at twice the rate of Kentucky’s general population. The bill passed the Senate and is now in the House for concurrence
