South Carolina Woman Leads Police on Two County Chase

A South Carolina woman is facing charges for a police chase that went through Pike and Floyd counties last month.

Prestonsburg Police ultimately arrested the woman for the chase that started when she refused to pull over after being caught speeding near Highlands ARH on February 28.

They say she reached speeds as high as 124 miles per hour as Pikeville Police, Kentucky State Police and Coal Run Police joined the chase which ended when she crashed into a car on U.S. 23 at Cassady Boulevard.

She was in the hospital for about a week but is now in the Floyd County Detention Center.
