Short Chase Leads to Arrest for Stolen Motorcycle

A Pike County man has been arrested on allegations related to a stolen motorcycle. Officials say a KSP trooper was patrolling Greasy Creek Wednesday night, when he saw a motorcycle being operated in a way, he felt was reckless. Mountain Top News reports when the trooper got behind the bike, he ran the license plate and it came up expired but when he activated his lights to stop the bike, the driver took off. A short time later the driver, now ID’d as Roger Chaney of Shelbiana, crashed the bike into a ditch and was caught. An investigation revealed the bike was stolen from Floyd County
