Leslie County Schools are closed today as a precaution, as are multiple schools in the
London and surrounding areas, as the manhunt continues for the suspect in the
Saturday shootings on I-75 in Laurel County.
The Sheriff says suspect Joseph Couch of Woodbine has previous military experience and is a former member of the National Guard.
Law enforcement officials say his AR-15, ammunition, car and possibly his phone were found in the woods and as they continue to scour those woods for Couch, they have not ruled out the possibility that may have committed suicide.
Officials say a total of 12 vehicles were hit, with five people wounded but all expected to survive.
