Reds Sweep The Yankees For First Time Since 1976

The Cincinnati Reds have swept the New York Yankees for the first time since the 1976 World Series. 

The Reds won all 3 games over the struggling Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

They won Tuesday 5-4, Wednesday 3-2 and yesterday afternoon on Thursday 8-4.

The Yankees have lost 8 of their last 10 and the Reds have won 4 of their last 5. 

The Reds are now 42-45, 9.5 games back of the Brewers, in 3rd place in the NL Central.

The Reds return home today for a 3 team 10 game home stand leading up to the All Star Break that begins on July 15.  

The home stand will feature 3 games against the Tigers this weekend, 4 with the Rockies and 3 against the Marlins.  

Game time tonight for the Reds and Tigers in the first game of a 3 game inter league series is at 7:10 with pregame at 6:40pm on Real Country 95.1 WTCW.  

The Reds and Tigers will play tomorrow, Saturday at 4:10pm and Sunday at 1:40pm.
