Reds Lose Opening Game of Oakland A’s Series 5-4

Max Schuemann and Lawrence Butler each hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning to propel the Oakland Athletics past the Cincinnati Reds 5-4 on Tuesday night.

The Cincinnati Reds are now 63-69, 12.5 games behind the Brewers in the NL Central and now 9 games back in the NL Wild Card race.  

The Reds continue the home stand with another game against the A’s tonight at GABP with first pitch at 6:40om and pregame at 6:10pm. 

Game 3 and the series wrap up with the A’s will a 5:10 first pitch on Thursday.
