The re-trial has been postponed for a former assistant Pike County attorney accused of killing his wife.
Prosecutors allege Donald Kyle Deskins murdered his wife Judith and tampered with evidence at their home in Kimper in 2001.
He was tried last summer but the jury deadlocked and a mistrial was declared.
His new trial was set to start this Monday but has now been delayed until May after his attorney told the judge he needed more time to review new evidence submitted by the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
