Pikeville Restaurant Accused of Serving Alcohol with Forged License

A Pikeville restaurant owner has been accused by state officials of serving alcohol with a forged alcohol license.

The Pikeville City Attorney who is the city’s alcohol beverage administrator tells WYMT the owner of Nightmares Grill on Main was charged with possession of a forged instrument after he was questioned last month by officers from the state Alcohol Beverage Control.

Those officers called the City Attorney to check the license which he knew they did not yet have.

He says the forged license had old state letterhead with an outdated address.

The owner is charged with a misdemeanor with a court date later this month.

The business is still open, they just cannot serve alcohol.
