Pikeville Medical Center has gotten several top marks from the CareChex Awards which compare inpatient quality performance across hospitals nationwide. PMC got into the top 10 percent in the Nation for Patient Safety: Heart Attack Treatment and Sepsis Care; Top 10 percent in the State for Patient Safety: Heart Attack Treatment and Heart Failure Treatment; Top 10 percent in the State for Medical Excellence: Hip Fracture Care; and Top 100 in the Nation for Patient Safety: Sepsis Care.
