A Pike County man has published his first ever novel.
Dorton native Stephen J. Wallace has written a suspense thriller called “Hazardous Lies” which is based on his real-life experience working as a federal investigator looking into accidents at chemical plants.
Wallace, who studied chemical engineering at the University of Kentucky and then worked in the chemical industry, tells the Appalachian News Express the book is absolutely a work of fiction but based on his experience and the procedures he followed as a chemist as well as an investigator.
His novel won the International Impact Book Award and is becoming an Amazon bestseller.
