A former Pikeville doctor and nurse have been sentenced to several years in prison for doling out prescriptions for people who didn’t need them. Doctor of Osteopathy Crystal Compton and nurse Kayla Lambert were convicted last September in Pikeville after federal prosecutors said they’d handed out prescriptions for opioids “in significant quantities and dosages”. Compton was sentenced to more than eight years and Lambert to five years plus they have three year supervised release when they get out
