November is National Family Caregivers Month and the Big Sandy Area Agency for the
Aging wants you to know about the support available for family caregivers.
They offer resources specifically aimed at caregivers of adults aged 60 and older with the agency’s director of Aging Services telling the Appalachian News Express their caregivers program includes support groups, training and sometimes access to supplies that insurance does not cover such as for incontinence.
And they also have voucher programs to allow you to hire someone to take over caregiving for a few hours to give you a break.
Big Sandy Area Agency for the Aging covers Pike, Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin and Martin counties.
