New Kentucky Home Program Provides Tourism Funding for Several Mountain Towns

Some money will be coming into several Eastern Kentucky towns as part of Governor Beshear’s New Kentucky Home initiative to boost tourism as well as quality of life for residents.

A total of $543,000 in funding is going to 19 Kentucky Trail Towns to repair, enhance and promote projects that boost outdoor recreation.

Trail Town grant award recipients include $30,000 to Hazard, $29,000 to Hyden and $15,000 to Pikeville.
