Mutual Aid Agreement Made Between Perry County and Kentucky State Police

Better emergency communication is the expectation of a new mutual aid agreement between Perry County and Kentucky State Police. Thanks to a couples of grants, Judge-Executive Scott Alexander says they will have better direct communication with KSP Dispatch in the event of an emergency, including a weather disaster, terrorism, an active shooter or an Amber Alert. The Hazard Herald reports it includes getting more digital radio equipment to provide more frequencies for emergency responders, at no extra cost to the county.
