Robin Newsome, Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame coach of the Martin County Lady Cardinals and one of the winningest coaches in state history, has announced her retirement after nearly 40 years of coaching.
This past season, Newsome became the 15th Region’s all-time winningest girls basketball coach and reached 562 career victories, moving into the top 10 on Kentucky’s all-time girls basketball wins list.
