LSU’s Tyrell Ward scored on a putback layup at the buzzer and the Tigers upset #17 Kentucky 75-74 in Baton Rouge last night.
Kentucky led by 15 points early in the second half and Rob Dillingham scored 21 in the second half, including the go ahead shot with 13 seconds to go but it wasn’t enough as the Cats drop a heartbreaker at LSU.
Dillingham finished with 23 points while Antonio Reeves led all scorers with 25 points.
Reeves also went over 1,000 points in his UK career.
Kentucky will return home this Saturday for a showdown with No. 13 Alabama at Rupp Arena.
