Ava Lee Oliver, age 82, of Goose Creek, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

She is survived by 1 son: Joseph Oliver of Goose Creek; 3 brothers: Bill Holbrook of McRoberts, Oliver Holbrook and Kenneth Holbrook both of Goose Creek; 4 sisters: Mary Kilgore of Goose Creek, Eunice Tolliver of Jackhorn, Bessie Yonts of McRoberts and Theresa Bentley of Hemphill and 4 grandchildren:

Funeral services for Ava Lee Oliver will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Holbrook and Kenneth Holbrook II officiating.

Burial will follow in the Yonts Holbrook Cemetery at Goose Creek.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Joshua Craig Caudill, age 40, of Lizzie Fork, formerly of Jenkins, passed away Saturday March 8, 2025, at his residence.

He is survived by his father and stepmother: Scotty and Angie Church of Jenkins; his fiancé: Hala May Oney, 1 stepdaughter: Haley Oney, 2 grandchildren; 1 sister: Katie Church; 1 brother: Scotty Church; 2 nephews, 2 nieces and his Aunt Shelia Evans.

Funeral services for Joshua Craig Caudill will be held at 2:00pm this afternoon, Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Alfred Fields officiating.

Burial will follow in the Polly Cemetery at Bill Moore Branch.

Lillian Brown Polli, age 73, of Morristown, Tennessee, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare Hospital.

She is survived by her husband: John Danny Polli, Sr.: two sons: Herbert Richard Polli, Jr. and John Danny Polli; one daughter: Missy Iler; three brothers: Anderson “Bud” Brown, Clarence Brown and Marvin Brown; 4 sisters: Donna Whitaker, Vickie Huff, Kim Brock, and Louann Johnson, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Lillian Brown Polli will be held at 12:00 noon today, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home with Ron Oplinger officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery in Cumberland.

Allen Sexton, age 30, of Hazard, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 in Hazard.

He is survived by his mother; Minnie Beverly & husband Joe of Combs; father: Edward Sexton & wife Aracely of Whitesburg; 2 brothers: Justin Dwayne Sexton of Whitesburg and Edward Sexton Jr. off Whitesburg; paternal grandmother: Joyce Faye Miles of Whitesburg; aunts, Lena Noble, Nora West, and Tamara Babbs; uncles, Beckham Beverly, Bernus Miles, Avery Miles, and Lonnie Redman; step-brothers, Cesar Morales and Kevin Morales and step-sister, Pryscila Morales.

Visitation for Allen Sexton will be from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard.

Mary Elizabeth Craft Gibson, age 88, of Redfox, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Knott County Health and Rehab Center in Hindman.

She is survived by her children: Judy Karen Pigman, Don R. Gibson and Kimberly Cooksey. Grandchildren- Stephanie Allen, Becky Pigman, Travis Gibson, Brandie Yates, Zach Gibson, Dee Dee Gibson, Deneci Gibson, Jacob Rowe, Jamie Rowe, Joshua Cooksey and Christa Cooksey; 19 Great Grandchildren; one sister: Susan McCoy; 2 Sisters-in-law: Symolene Anderson and Shirley Walker and Brother-in-law: Doug Gibson.

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Craft Gibson will be held at 1:00pm Friday, Marh 14, 2025 at the Hindman Funeral Services chapel with Dylan Combs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Isom Cemetery at Isom.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00pm Thursday, March 13, 2025 with additional services at 7:00pm with Danny Dixon and Jim Fields officiating.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Knott County Youth Foundation in Hindman.
