Jane Caudill

Jane Caudill, age 85, of Madison, Indiana formerly of Letcher County, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

She is survived by 2 sisters: Imogene Caudill York of Madison, Indiana and Adeline Hampton of Whitesburg, Kentucky; her brother, Carl “Dickie” Caudill of Batesville, Indiana; 3 sisters in law: Margaret Ann Caudill, Janet Caudill and Geraldine Caudill all of Jeremiah; the children she was a nanny to: Nancy Adams and Dr. Wade Baker along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services For Jane Caudill will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.

Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital Hospice in Madison, Indiana.

Anna Lee Parsons Sayers

Anna Lee Parsons Sayers, age 78, of Eolia, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at her residence. 

She is survived by 1 daughter: Mahala Mullins of Eolia; 1 son: Wendell Thomas Sayers of Pikeville; 1 sister: Carolyn Boggs of Whitesburg; 3 grandchildren: Bryson, Mason and Peyton; 1 great grandchild: Liberty; niece: Tere Sergent of Morristown, Tennessee; great nieces: Chandler and Lauryn. 

Funeral services for Anna Lee Parson Sayers will be held at 11:00am this morning, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Dock Frazier officiating. 

Entombment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Varon Eldridge

Varon Eldridge, age 76, of Blackey, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center. 

He is survived by his wife: Shirley Sexton Eldridge; 8 children: Mark Eldridge of Blackey, Mike Eldridge of Blackey, Scottie Eldridge of Campbranch, Varon Jr. Eldridge of Blackey, Teresa Watts of Redstar, Nettie Slone of Woodrock, Tiffany Slone of Woodrock and David Sturgill of Little Colley; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 brothers: Mason, Kermit, Grant, Bruce and Benny; 3 sisters: Etna, Maxie and Nellie. 

Funeral services for Varon Eldridge will be held at 2:00pm this afternoon, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Campbranch Pentecostal Holiness Church with Ray Begley, Grant Eldridge and Steven Ratliff officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Blackey.
