Carol Dean Brown, age 79, of Blackey, passed away at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard on Sunday, March 3, 2024
She is survived by her husband: Phillip Brown and 2 sisters: Martha Wilson of Port Charlotte, Florida and Audrey White of Loxley, Alabama.
Funeral services for Carol Dean Brown will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Doermann Presbyterian Church in Blackey.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday with services beginning at 1:00pm.
Burial will follow at the Caudill Cemetery at Red Star.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Campbells Branch Community Center.

Barbara “Bobbie” Whenal, age 88, of Fleming Neon passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She is survived by one daughter: Christal Parrish and two grandchildren.

Marjorie Woods Caudill, age 99, of Viper, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at her residence.
She is survived by 4 sons: Corbett Hannon Caudill, Johnny Doyle Caudill, Minter Craig Caudill & Jeffery Layne Caudill all of Viper; 3 Daughters: Marcella Cornett of Viper, Beverly Gwen Rollins of Isom & Carolyn Sue Joseph of Viper; 1 Sister: Willadean Mullins of Harrodsburg; Sisters-In-Law: Ivy Leeper & Carolyn Woods; 14 Grandchildren; 29 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services for Marjorie Woods Caudill will be held at 12:00 noon today, Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Maggard’s Mountain View Chapel in Hazard with Wes Halcomb officiating.
Burial will follow in the W.H. Caudill Cemetery at Viper.
