Another busy month for the Letcher County Sheriff’s Office. In his progress report for November, Sheriff Mickey Stines says in addition to removing drugs from the streets and recovering stolen property, they served 47 warrants, 46 civil papers, 4 criminal summonses, 3 involuntary hospitalizations, 8 orders of protection and 2 Casey Law petitions. He says in November the Sheriff’s Office was responsible for 38 out of 73 people processed in the Letcher County Jail. And he thanks all the citizens who provide information to help catch fugitives and stop drug dealers.
