Letcher County’s public libraries are getting new computers after the Board of Trustees approved up to $60,000 to replace all the public computers and staff workstations. The Mountain Eagle reports they are already in place at the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library in Whitesburg with the others coming soon. It includes the Fleming-Neon and Blackey libraries but theirs will be stored until the libraries are renovated. Officials say Internet access is one of the main reasons people use the library.
