Letcher County has a new Jailer but he is a familiar face. On Wednesday Letcher County Judge/Executive Terry Adams held a swearing in ceremony for Brian Slone who was appointed by Adams following the retirement of his brother Bert Slone.
Brian Slone has been with the jail for 24 years, most recently as Chief Deputy.
Assistant Chief Deputy Lena Hensley will be promoted to the Chief position.
