Some Leslie County residents have been recognized for giving back to the community.
Each year the Hyden-Leslie County Chamber of Commerce, Leslie County Community Foundation and Mary Breckinridge’s Wendover team up to honor “Local Treasures” who
make an impact.
This year’s honorees are Cassie Begley & Wendover Volunteers, the Creekers, Col. Keith Couch, Dr. Scottie Day, Armilda Hoskins, Cecil “CH” Hoskins Leslie Hardwood, Hillary Moore Meehan and Venita Caldwell.
Money raised at the event goes to the Leslie County Community Foundation’s Endowment Fund.
