In high school baseball, the Letcher County Central Cougars only senior Kaleb Slone along with 8th grader Mason Boggs collected 3 hits each in route to 14-0 14th Region win over Buckhorn at LCC. Before the game Kaleb Slone was honored on senior night.
Junior Dawson Kincer got the win with a no hitter for the Cougars, giving up no hits, 1 walk and striking out 5 in 5 innings.
The Cougars are now 12-7 on the season and will play a big 14th Region game Thursday at 18-8 Perry County Central.
The Jenkins Cavaliers lost to Jackson City 12-4 at home last night.
The Cavalier boys will next take on Owsley County tonight at home starting at 6:00pm.
