In high school baseball, on a Friday the LCC Cougars played the rained out game 2 of the doubleheader against Jenkins and beat the Cavaliers 10-1.
The Cougars put up 14 hits offensively and Jaydon Wright was dominant on the hill, with 13 strikeouts, allowing three hits and one run over five innings while walking none.
The LCC Cougars will face Perry County Central at Cougar Field in a rematch this evening at home.
Perry Central beat LCC 4-3 in a good one last Thursday at PCC.
Tonight’s Letcher-Perry 14th Region matchup begins at 5:30 and we’ll broadcast that game live here on the Bulldog.
