LCC Baseball Gets Big 14th Region Win Over Perry Central

In high school baseball and the game you heard live on the Bulldog last night, the Letcher County Central Cougars took down Perry County Central 8-5.

LCC scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning to break the game open.

Quinten Williams earned the win for Letcher County Central giving up four hits and three runs over three and one-third innings, striking out six and walking four. 

Andrew Little collected the save for LCC. 

Little and Dawson Kincer also each drove in three runs. 

The 14-8 LCC Cougars baseball team is scheduled to play tonight at Harlan County at 6:00pm, play at Harlan Independent on Wednesday at 5:30pm and finish the regular season with the home finale against Harlan Independent Friday at 6:30pm at Cougar Field.  

The 5-9 Jenkins Cavaliers will take on East Ridge at home Wednesday at 6:00pm.  It will be senior night for the Cavaliers.  John Addington, Dakota Hall, Matt Morris, Mason Webb and Caleb Morgan will be recognized.

Jenkins will then wrap up the regular season at Buckhorn on Thursday.
