On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 3:49 A.M, Kentucky State Police, Post 13, Hazard, received a call in reference to a single vehicle accident on Big Branch in the Hallie community of Letcher County.
Troopers, along with medical personnel responded to the scene. Preliminary investigation indicated that Anthony W. Caudill, 62, of Hallie, was operating a Ford Pick-up on Big Branch when the vehicle lost control causing it to overturn over the shoulder of the roadway. Caudill was pronounced deceased on scene by the Letcher County Coroners Office.
Caudill was not wearing a seat belt during the time of collision and toxicology results are currently pending. This incident remains under investigation by Trooper Jarrett Fields.
