Kentucky Mountain Health Alliance in Hazard is one of eight community health centers in Kentucky getting a recent grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The $600,000 will be used to integrate mental health and substance use treatments more
fully into primary care services.
The US Health and Human Services Secretary says the chosen centers have a proven record of success in reaching under served communities and this funding will expand their access to essential behavioral health services.
