The Kentucky baseball team’s amazing season was ended by the Florida Gators in an elimination game at the College World Series yesterday.
Kentucky took the lead 1-0 in the top of the first inning, but Florida scored 7 runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back winning 15-4.
For Kentucky it was an historical season.
The bat cats won a program record 46 games this season en route to its second SEC co-Regular Season Championship in program history.
The Cats then won their first Super Regional and played 2 games in the College World Series for the first time ever.
The finish with a record of 46-16.
