Bond remains at $5 million for a Prestonsburg man accused of murdering a woman at
his father’s home last year.
On Monday a judge denied a request from MK McKinney made at a hearing last week to reduce his bond for charges of murder and complicity to tampering with evidence in the death of Amber Spradlin in 2023.
McKinney’s attorney filed the request saying McKinney was not a flight risk and calling the bond excessive.
WYMT reports Judge Eddy Coleman said based on the evidence presented the bond is
reasonable.
So far no trial date has been set.
McKinney’s father Michael McKinney and friend Josh Mullins are also charged with complicity to tampering with evidence.
