The boys 14th Region Tournament got underway last night at the Morton Combs Athletic Complex at Knott County Central in Hindman.
In game one Breathitt County got by Perry County Central 64-60.
In game two, it was a battle but the Jenkins Cavaliers dream season came to a close with a loss to Powell County in Overtime 85-68.
The Pirates outscored the Cavaliers 20-3 in the overtime period.
The final score did not indicate how close the game actually was throughout the evening with many lead changes and lots of big shots.
The Cavaliers magical season ends with a 26-5 record. The Cavaliers had the most season wins than any other team in Jenkins basketball history. They won their first district title since 1995 and made their first 14th Region Tournament appearance since 2005.
Congratulations to Coach Winston Lee, his staff, all the players, parents and all of Cavalier Nation on a wonderful basketball season.
