Housing Development Alliance Celebrates 30 Years in Eastern Kentucky

The Housing Development Alliance is celebrating its 30th anniversary of providing housing in Eastern Kentucky.

What began as a part of Community Ministries to find shelter for the homeless has evolved into having built nearly 400 homes.

The Hazard Herald reports several local officials gathered last week for a celebration, pointing out the key moment was when they got a grant to hire Scott McReynolds who is now HDA’s
executive director.

Perry County Judge-Executive Scott Alexander pointed out following the July 2022 flood, HDA was able to start planning right away for how to help.
