It’s gonna be really windy today. The National Weather Service has a High Wind Warning in effect until 5pm today. They say to expect gusts of 60 mph or higher for locations above 2500 feet and immediately downwind of Pine and Black Mountains, and gusts of 35 to 50 mph elsewhere. It will calm down some in the evening but still possibly gusts up to 50 mph with a Wind Advisory in effect until 7am Saturday. Officials remind you to prepare for the possibility of downed trees and power outages.
