Hazard Community and Technical College has received a grant to help bolster a student’s
chances of getting a GED.
WYMT reports HCTC has received a $6,000 grant from Dollar General which will help students to afford re-taking the GED exam if they don’t pass it the first time.
And HCTC now has a GED Advantage Program in which students can earn a stipend with each class completed.
HCTC President Dr. Jennifer Lindon says with every milestone that you complete, you earn money, up to a total of $1500.
