A Hazard man has reportedly been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for trafficking meth and fentanyl in Perry County. Thurman Sizemore of Upper Second Creek was sentenced last week by a federal judge following a plea deal. Sizemore was arrested in January 2022 with 23 grams of fentanyl and 2.5 grams of meth as well as a gun. But prosecutors say while in jail awaiting trial he continued to arrange for the distribution of about 240 grams of meth that was stashed at his mom’s house. The 11-year sentence will be followed by five years of supervised release.
