A Hazard man is facing federal drug and gun charges following a grand jury indictment.
The indictment was handed down June 27 for Clifton Plowman for possession with the intent to distribute meth and possession of a firearm in a drug trafficking offense.
The Hazard Herald reports it was the result of a traffic stop last December where a trooper
pulled him over for not wearing a seatbelt and when he saw Plowman and a passenger
move around inside the car, he called for a search which allegedly turned up the drugs
and gun as well scales, baggies and cash.
And Plowman was out on parole at the time.
