Kinetic by Windstream says they are working with several different law enforcement agencies to find whoever took down some of their Hazard system earlier this month while apparently trying to steal some copper wiring.
Kinetic says vandalism led to significant disruptions to services for both residential and business customers when someone made several cuts into their fiber-optic cable August 6.
The Hazard Herald reports Kinetic has had 66 reported copper cable thefts in the area just this year.
