Harlan County’s Trent Noah Is Now a UK Wildcat

One day after South Carolina granted the release of former Harlan County Black Bear basketball star Trent Noah, he has now committed to Coach Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats.

Noah is the first athlete from Harlan Independent or Harlan County to play men’s basketball for the Wildcats since Dickie Parsons in the late 1950s and early 60s.

Noah’s grandfather, Charles “Perky” Bryant, played football for Kentucky from 1961-63.

Noah led his Harlan County team to the basketball state championship where they lost to fellow UK commitment Travis Perry.
