Governor Beshear Says Disaster Unemployment Assistance is Available for Flood Victims

Governor Andy Beshear has announced that the state will accept applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance if you are out of work as a direct result of the severe storms and flooding from the February 14 weekend.

It includes those who are self-employed if it was your primary source of income.

You will have to show that your work or self-employment was lost or interrupted as a direct result of the disaster and that you are not otherwise already eligible for regular unemployment benefits.
