In Observance of Good Friday, City of Whitesburg administrative offices and the Recycling Center will be closed all day on Friday, March 29 with city operations resuming Monday, April 1. The City says Whitesburg sanitation collections will operate as normal during the holiday. However, for Letcher County, the Transfer Station, Road Department and Sanitation will not be operating on Friday and will resume Monday. The Letcher County Sheriff’s Office and Judge Executive’s Office are closed on Friday.
