Former Kentucky football player Vincent “Sweet Pea” Burns has died at the age of 43.
A cause of death was not released.
Burns was a three-year starter for the Wildcats from 2002-2004, and a two-year team captain.
The Valdosta, GA native had 168 tackles, including 37 tackles for loss in his career.
Burns was a two-time All-SEC player at defensive tackle and was drafted in the third round by the Indianapolis Colts in 2005.
