Former Chicago Receptionist Pleads Guilty in Perry County Drug Distribution Case

A former pain clinic receptionist from Chicago has pleaded guilty to charges related to distributing opioids into Perry County.

The US Attorney’s Office says the woman pleaded guilty to distributing oxycodone and methadone which could mean up to 20 years in prison when she is sentenced.

Investigators allege when she worked at the pain center in Chicago from 2019 and 2022 some Perry County patients regularly traveled there but never saw a doctor.

They paid her a co-pay and she filled out prescriptions that were pre-signed by the doctor for oxycodone, methadone and more
