Hazard Police say they have seized meth, pills and drug-related cash during a series of traffic stops by the night shift officers.
In a post on Facebook the department says using proactive enforcement efforts, officers seized about 16 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 42 pills believed to be illegal narcotics, and more than $1,100 in cash.
They say the traffic stops were part of an ongoing initiative to enhance public safety and deter drug trafficking.
They say several people were arrested but did not release any names as many of the cases are still being actively investigated.
