The Colson Volunteer Fire Department has gotten a $10,000 grant for some new firefighting gear.
The grant from State Farm Insurance Company will help them get two complete sets of turnout gear, two AED’s which are defibrillating devices for heart events, and some miscellaneous firefighting equipment.
Colson Fire Volunteers and community members tell the Mountain Eagle they respectfully and sincerely appreciate the generosity of State Farm at a time when the help was needed the most.
